I’m really excited to announce the latest addition to my photography sessions -Simply You. Simply You portrait or makeover Photography sessions are all about you, your attitude, your lifestyle and your personality. Simply You sessions are shot over a morning or full day if required and can be arranged at a place or venue of your choosing to reflect your personality. Below are a few of my favourite images from Emily’s Simply You photo shoot last week in North Yorkshire.

A month ago I met with one of my upcoming wedding couples Katie & Joe at their venue Walton Hall Wakefield for a pre wedding meeting & shoot. This is a great experience for the couples to go through before their big day, couples then have an idea what its like to be photographed by me and it’s one less thing for them to think about on their wedding day. Both Katie & Joe were a little nervous to start with as there was a wedding fair in full flow when we arrived, a fact that Joe had mysteriously forgotten to tell Katie about! Once the initial nerves had settled they soon relaxed and had a good time having their photos taken, below is a small selection of images from their shoot.

A selection of my favourite images from a family location portrait photography shoot with Sonja and her girls, Ella, Olivia and Jasmin. The family wrapped up against the elements as it was another cold and damp day but that didn’t stop the girls from having a great time while I captured great images of them enjoying the afternoon out.

Family location photography sessions can be great fun for all involved at any time of year. I especially like the winter months with kids wrapped up in their winter woollies and wellies not even the elements can get in the way of their imagination and sense on fun. This little cheeky chappy was a right bundle of energy and a little poser to boot, I spent a great couple of hours with Charlie and his mum Lucy recently and below is a small selection of images from their location portrait photography shoot.

On Sunday I spent a couple of hours with Tia on a combination location and studio portrait photography shoot. Tia had wanted a photography shoot for ages so as a gift Tia’s grandmother got in touch with me and purchased a portrait photography gift voucher. We agreed Sunday was a good time for us and arranged the shoot as a surprise. We met up in a local park and after an initial introduction I had a chat with Tia to find out what she would like from the shoot. Tia was brimming with excitement although a little nervous, she was accompanied by her best friend Rebecca who was also just as excited and enthusiastic. Rebecca was a great help offering words of support and encouragement and generally being a great help on the shoot. Below is a small selection of images from Tia’s shoot. I have to mention check out Tia’s Vivien Westwood boot’s very nice!!

Ruth & Neil – Wedding Photography Bagden Hall Yorkshire

In September last year I had the pleasure of helping out a colleague Melissa Bennett to photography Ruth & Neils wedding at Bagden Hall In West Yorkshire. Melissa was having a bad time with morning sickness and was a little concerned about being ill while photographing Ruth and Neils wedding. Fortunately there was no need for concern and Melissa came through without being ill and we had a fantastic day with Ruth & Neil.

On occasions I get the chance to relax a little and second shoot at a wedding. On this occasion I had the luxury of the run of the house and grounds to create timeless relaxed imagery for Ruth and Neil to reflect on in years to come. Below are just some of the my favourite images I had the pleasure of capturing for such a lovely couple.

A small selection of some of my favourite images from Beth & Peter’s Wedding at Mosborough Hall in Sheffield. I loved Beth’s choice of colour for her bridesmaids dresses, flowers, table details, even down to the bun cases and not forgetting Peters fantastic choice of footwear, purple is one of my favourite colours. Beth and Peter are a cool relaxed couple and had a relaxed laid back ceremony. All they wanted to do was enjoy every minute of their day which made the photography a pure pleasure. We were very fortunate with the good old British weather, just finishing the formal group shots before the rain pored down.

Helen & Ryan-Wedding Photography Garrison Hotel Sheffield

I had the pleasure of photographing Helen and Ryan’s wedding celebrations on what turned out to be one of the hottest and sunniest days of 2010 at the Garrison Hotel In Sheffield. Helen was very nervous so I didn’t keep her too long while I took a few shots of her and the girls. I then left her to chill and relax before the ceremony and went off to find Ryan who as it turned out was just as nervous. The ceremony went smoothly despite all the nerves and after the formal group shots were finished we spent a little time with Helen & Ryan on their own and before they new it they were ready to sit down for their wedding breakfast.

In October 2010 I travelled to the Peak district to meet up with 22 colleagues and some of the countries leading photographers. We meet up at regular intervals throughout the year to exchange ideas, check out new equipment and products. On this occasion we had the good fortune to meet and photograph Kate who wanted a trash the dress Photography shoot. With all that talent about who could resist, so we set to work on creating some awesome images for her, Kate was up for just about anything. Below are a few of my shots from the shoot. Believe me the water was cold.

Nicki and Richard are a fun couple to be around and it was a pleasure to photograph their wedding day at Burn Hall in North Yorkshire. Niki and Richard had booked the venue for the day so Niki and her bridesmaids were getting ready as I arrived at the venue. I was greeted by Richard who was already suited and booted and ready for the big day. Once I unpacked my camera and the rest of the kit, we took some shots of Richard and the boys before heading up to Niki’s room, for a few preparation shots of Niki and her bridesmaids getting ready. The Ceremony was to be held at the venue which keeps everything straight forward with less chance for guests to get lost. The only thing left to do was let their day unfold and capture those special moments. Below is a small selection of some of my favourite images from the day.
